Horizon STEM is a student-led movement that combats the decline in K-8 science and math engagement by replacing passive memorization with hands-on, challenge-based workshops. Using a "Play-to-Learn" model, high school mentors provide near-peer guidance to younger students, helping them bridge the gap between classroom formulas and real-world application. By fostering a sense of ownership and identity as innovators, the project has successfully scaled to six chapters and hundreds of students to ensure the next generation remains curious about the future of STEM.
